As I listened I kept wondering what you guys were going to talk about for the last hour.  Surely there weren't enough actual books to fill up the two hours at the pace you were going?

Wow, Marvel puts out a lot of books.  Huh?

Truth!  We were racing to get to the collected editions, with no sense of how long the whole previews was going to take....keeping it under 2 hours was a happy outcome....now we just have to roughly remember that pace for next time! Cheesy

This thing rocked the house1.  Thanks for the Noise addition to help us out.   Not Worthy  Kyle Hotz on Captain America!  Now I have to buy that as well.  Great.  I am going to end up buying about half that series and having to double dip.  It had better come out in oversized hard cover.

I never knew how much stuff comes out in a month.  When it is all together like that it is pretty intimidating.

I did like Super Steve’s suggestion about “Mor” the Space Knight.  It made me want to organize a protest outside the Marvel offices to bring back Rom The Space Knight.  I could get the crowd to chant “More Rom, More Rom, More Rom,” etc.  I can’t see how that would cause any confusion2.

Whirlwindx and Steve Raker, what more could anyone ask for?   Thumbs Up When I heard the combo and the presenters, my mind wandered back to my youth and a certain mix-genre concert I saw in Steve Raker’s neck of the woods.  It was the Public Enemy/Anthrax tour.  So this was rattling around my head.  I don't know if any of you remember their song, Bring the Noise.

Previews! How low can you go?
Fear Itself. What a King Dap knows.
Once again, back is the incredible
the art animal
the incredible Steve, Comic Expert Number One
LA Rabbit said, "Freeze!" and I got numb
Can I tell 'em that I really never had a paste pot gun?
But it's the stacks that the Whirlwind X spun
Now they got me in the bunker 'cause the comics they sell
'Cause a reader like me said, "Well...
...King Daps a prophet and I think you ought to listen to
what he can say to you, what you ought to do."
Follow Previews for now, power of the comics say,
"Make a miracle, Steve, pump the lyrical"
Marvel is back, all in, we're gonna win
Check it out, yeah y'all c'mon, here we go again

Turn it up! Bring the Marvel noise!
Turn it up! Bring the Marvel noise!

Never badder than bad 'cause the brother is madder than mad
At the fact that's corrupt as a senator
Hail Hydra 2, but you treat it like Paul Pope
'Cause the inks and the lines are so dope
Listen for lessons I'm saying inside comics that the critics are all blasting
me for
They'll never care for the brothers and sisters
now across the country has us up for the war

We got to demonstrate, come on now, they're gonna have to wait
Till we get it right
Podcasts I question their comics
They call themselves fans, but we'll see if they'll play this

Turn it up! Bring the Marvel noise!
Turn it up! Bring the Marvel noise!

Get from in front of me, the crowd runs to me
My DJ is warm, he's X, I call him Kevin, ya know
He can talk a comic from side to side
So what, the ride, the glide should be much safer than a suicide
Soul control, beat is the father of your comic books
Comics for whatcha, for whichin', you call a brand, man
Makin' a art, abuse it, but you can't do it, ya know
You call 'em minis, but we ride limos, too
Whatcha gonna do? Marvel is not afraid of you
Beat is for Steve Ditko, beat is for Steranko
Jack Kirby first said a comic could be grand
Stand on its feet, get you out your seat
Beat is for Eric L. and LL, as well, hell
Art is for Adams, still it can rock bells
Ever forever, universal, it will sell
Time for me to exit, Whirlwind X-it

Turn it up! Bring the Marvel noise!
Turn it up! Bring the Marvel noise!

From coast to coast, so you stop being like a comatose
"Stans the man, The beat's the same with a Boom! toast
Comics with some pizzazz, it will last. Why you ask?
Roll with the pod stars, still never get accepted as
We got to plead the Fifth, we can investigate
Don't need to wait, get the record straight
Hey, posse's in effect, got the King DAP, Whirlwind
X to sign checks, play to get paid
We got to check it out down on the avenue
A podcast or two is dissing me and dissing you
Yeah, I'm telling you...  3

Us too, Henri....these are the 3-month advance previews for what will hit the stores in April (Previews released in February).  You PM'd me to elaborate on preorders, so let me give it a whirl:

In the U.S., all comics are distributed through one company: Diamond.  They provide comic shops with a catalog with previews of everything intended to be released 3 months from then, so that the stores can order copies of what they want to sell.  But now, stores and online comic mail-order services have customers use these Previews (the catalog is actually called 'Previews') to help them make sure everyone gets what they want with little as possible overstock.  Soooooo, those were the Marvel Previews for the comics on sale here in April.

Take a look at websites like dcbservice.com (discount comic book service)....they post the Previews, have a date that your 'pre-orders' must be made by, and then they send you the books you bought/pre-ordered in April.  There are many such services out there, I use dcbs exclusively every month....love it.  I don't know if they ship outside the U.S.  There are European similar services....I don't know about your corner of the globe.  Good luck and let us know what you turn up! Thumbs Up
