I don't want to waste time chewing on gristle and anything that isn't meat, but fat is necessary...

Spices and herbs, son. Spices and herbs. Tongue

I'm cool with fat in stuff like burgers, because it doesn't feel like a separate component from the meat.

THIS  Yes

I don't hate fat, in fact I look forward to eating lots of fatty things on my vacation. It's just that if I'm going to have fat, I want it in a form that's going to delight my senses.

Good episode guys, I feel like it flew by though.  Maybe it was just me but I was doing stuff around the house listening and next thing I knew it was time for "in your travels..."

as always, thanks for doing the show, love the comics talk and everything in between.

Thinking
I'm not seeing it. Haunt is a physical manifestation that takes over a morally bankrupt priest possessed by the powers of his former assassin brother. It's a supernatural story. What we've seen of Jake Ellis is a straightforward espionage tale so far where a guy is guided by something we see but no one else does, and we are led to believe is some kind of implant or mental programming.
 Thinking

Guess it's just me. I see Haunt as an action/superhero book more than a supernatural book, with the most interesting aspect being the setup between the brothers. A largely inept fella granted superpowers, with a more experienced, clued-in cohort advising him along the way.

Jason Wood at the 1:44:16 Mark:

"If It Ain't Ruff, It Ain't Right."  Not Worthy

And thank you guys for mentioning and giving props to Luke McDonnell for his work in the comics game. Than man is so underrated and I'm stoked that his Suicide Squad run is finally getting the proper treatment in TPB format.

McDonnell is my Iron Man artist, Mark Bright second. Respect to Bob Layton, but those two guys made me love Ol' Shellhead.

Don't sleep on the "Death of the Justice League" run that McDonnell worked on as well. The artwork with the story made me actually appreciate JLA Detroit.

Respect, gents. Good episode.

One of you recommended Legion at the end of the show, I've not read much (if any legion) other than the recent appearance in the various new krypton books. I see that there is a collection of the latest book released in april, is this a book that someone with only a small amount of knowledge about legion could pick up and understand/enjoy?

They do, but I'm not using it. If you're in a position (as you are) where you've been able to lose and maintain your weight, you don't need to follow THEIR nutrition guide. It's a very good program by the way, but a little too intensively rigid for my tastes (speaking on the food/diet side).

Agreed. I went through the program once last fall (starting in about mid September) and I found the nutrition thing a bit too much of a hassle, and since I had been shedding quite a bit of weight using my diet from before I just stuck with it (I have dropped about 80 pounds over the last yearish, about 50 before P90X).

 Cheesy

I don't know anyone who has used that nutrition guide (Including myself), I tend to get close enough to the protein/carbs/fats splits that they recommend.

Just finished the episode my own self, and my thanks to the boys for making another great one...

Props to Chris for what he said about John Byrne and to Vince as well for what he's saying about Next Men.

Fun listening to both Wood and David on Who Is Jake Ellis?  I'm not getting this now, but might have to look into this down the road.

Big kudos to Wood for mentioning the Legion of Super-Heroes at the end of the show.  It's my current favorite of all of the titles from DC right now (sharing that position with Doom Patrol) and every little extra shout out that gets is always cool.
