Most everything in this week's dozen is a current comic (or arc), but here's the oldie of the bunch:

David, I wouldn't be surprised if your order of Power Man & Iron Fist #1 was cancelled. That's what happened to me with Ultimate Avengers vs. New Ultimates #1 when I ordered from DCBS. Now, I'm tracking it down at local shops.
I shamefully admit that I've never read any stories featuring Batroc, but I have watched a movie with Battra (bad kaiju humor).

Thanks to you two for taking the time to host and post the episode. I appreciate it. Sorry it was such a short one. You can tell how my week is going, when I need to crack into the Marvel Noise monday morning. Strangely enough I have not read a single .1 issue. I was wondering if they were going to collect them all into 1 trade and then try it then. I don't even know if that makes sense.
I am digging the Powerman and Iron Fist, but I would recommend reading them in order. One of Mr. Van Lente's many strengths on display in this series is a tightly plotted, action packed adventure that moves quickly. It reminds me of the Task Master limited series where it is just go, go, go. That being said, in both series I thought he put in great character moments as well. We also get to see some new villians as well. I would love to see more of his creations have a lasting place in the Marvel Universe. I believe his first marvel work was creating the female schropion. I don't know what she is up to now. Nevertheless, I am a big fan of the new Powerman and Iron Fist 1 series.
Thanks again, and keep making mine Marvel Noise.
1I always want to type "Iron First" for some reason.

I halted the other episode of Marvel Noise I was still going through when I saw that this one was shorter and had a Raker's Dozen. I was even more interested in the dozen since I gave my opinion on some of this stuff in the previews episodes. 12
Bought myself some Hulk HC's over the weekend so I can make my way into World War Hulks. I see the point of the Marvel movie rant but if that's the only problem then I'm okay with it. That Amazing Spidey had such a classic sounding baddie with Krakatoom, good stuff and almost reminds me of Untold tales of Spider-Man. It blows my mind that Mr. Marvel Cosmic never read that Silver Surfer issue before. The Cap and Uncanny .1's really did what they were supposed to do out of that .1's that I've read. The Amazing one was good but it was a Venom .1 really. I enjoyed the Uncanny one the best with such a meaty story and potential for the future.
I'll have to look for this Cyclops issue in the bins with those villains and Haspiel.
1 I freaked out for a second seeing solicits going online already since we just did a previews episode.
2 Yeah I'm stealing someone's bit with the footnotes

Rabbit, that makes so much sense that they just solicited a .1 issue collection for next month's previews! Check it out, it looks like a fairly good value and all these stand alone stories...pretty neat.

Today will be the day to play the lottery. Although you didn't have to be Nostradamus to see this coming. Still I am curious as to how they will read compared to each other. Maybe they will spur me on to new titles.

Add another notch to the belt Mr. Raker. I was at the LCS yesterday, and had to get that new Kirby Collector after your effusive praise of the series. I think its oversize nature is also very eye-catching. You should work on commission.

Cool! There's so much in each issue, it's like having a new Kirby art and articles book 4 times a year.....and it takes about that long to read through an issue, too!

That just reminded me, Barnes and Noble has Mark Evenier's Kirby: King of Comics for $10! I've been meaning to pick it up and had completely forgot about it.

Had a good time at the AlbanyCon yesterday....walked around for an hour or so and then had my peeps join me to see the Star Wars cosplayers.
Bought this print from Dick Ayers (as well as a signed 'Original Ghost Rider' bookmark!), and had him sign my MMW: Tales to Astonish HC:
Fred Hembeck drew me a kinda porterly Human Torch:
...and Joe Staton was doing $10 Scooby Headshots for kids under 12, and $40 headshots for everyone else!:

Nice work, folks.
I really enjoyed the quicker episode simply for a change of pace or process from recent episodes. Again, great to hear David's input on what he's been reading.
Love the con pictures, Steve, especially the Hembeck sketch.

LOVE this cover. I have this in the collection based on John Byrne. Another book to throw on the To Read pile.

I meant to say comic, not collection. I managed to snag that Silver Surfer issue out of a quarter bin years ago. It was late.
Never drink and post is all I'm sayin'.
