Looking into buying an artist's tablet. Just getting into digital coloring (and inking) and wondering what I should be looking at (while spending as little as possible). Cheers.

you can't go wrong with anything by WACOM. i used to have one of their cheap starter tablets and it served me well for years. i passed it along to my buddy and it still works just as good. try the wacom BAMBOO. its their current starter model, about $80- $200 depending on the size you get.

mid-range would be the INTUOS. with more features and doodads, prices starting at $220.

I know Timothy uses a starter level Wacom tablet as well.  It looks like it's been beat to hell, but it still seems to work fine for him.

Ya the bamboo should be fine.  My wacom is an older style called a "graphire" but at the time it was there entry level product.  It works great, never had any problems that I thought a more expensive tablet would fix.
