Couple things. That Roger Stern Visionaries trade collects issues from Spectacular Spider-man not Web of Spider-Man.

This was the vermin cover I was thinking of:

Funny enough I couldn't remember the name of the story and it couldn't have been more obvious "The Death of Vermin" and from what I've been able to gather Vermin "dies" only because the human inside him comes through "kills" the Vermin persona. Of course Edward would later regress into Vermin again.

Some Criminal cover process work that I wanted to give a mention but never did:

50 minutes into this episode and I'm enjoying things. Great chemistry between you two knuckleheads! Thanks for putting out these extra Previews shows, David (especially after you had decided to reduce the show to bi-weekly)!

I don't read previews but I like listening to the previews episode.  I will at least peruse the recolored Kirby Cap trade.  Curious to see how it looks.  If you do decide to grab those X-Factor hardcovers, I am sure you can get them at a 2 for 1 sale at a con.  It seems like those places usually have a big stock of Marvel trades (at least the ones out here).

We packed in a lot of discussion to hopefully make for a good listen as opposed to a dry read of the lists

It's just a one shot, stapled issue, not a square-bound glued trade paperback

Is there a new Segment called Steve Raker costs me money?  Went to the LCS after a few weeks off and had to get Captain America Hail Hydra #4 (Kyle Hotz art) among the other things.  They were also doing a 50% off all trades and hardcovers so I had to pick up a Marvel Masterworks Thor (volume 9) to revel in the old timey Thor fun.  I also realized that I didn't have any Marvel Absolutes so I picked up the Acts of Vengence one.  Curious to see the packaging on that.  Acts of Vengence?   Embarrassed   I don't know what came over me.  Am I the only one that bought that?  There is a chance I already have a bunch of those issues somewhere.  Still 50% off.  I clearly have a problem.

I also got the IDW Complete NextMen Volume 2 but I don't think I can blame Super Steve for that   Thinking   Although if he hadn't worked on X-men, I probably wouldn't have bought that.  I can't be allowed unsupervised into an LCS again.

But Marvel doesn't do Absolutes, that's the distinguished competition  WinkAs for Acts for Vengeance was a decent enough idea for the time and produced some cool tie-ins.

Mannnnnn, you guys made everything sound so darn gooood that I just placed my largest DCBS order ever! I am filled with such shame at how irresponsibly I have just acted, and it's all your fault! Next month, try to be less entertaining and make the comics seem more dull, okay?

Just finished listening to this episode today and I absolutely loved the chemistry between Steve and Kevin.  Listening to the episode, I found out that Kevin is a fellow Torontonian.  Wish I knew that before hand, so I could have seen him @ Fan Appreciation.

Cool. I guess this will teach me to check the archives more often. I'm actually not a Torontonian. Not that there's anything wrong with that but I'm far enough away for it to make a big difference if not geographically being in Northern Ontario and all. I do end up going down a few times every year since it's the biggest and closest place for cons. Looks like TCAF is next for me so I should have 11 O'Clock t-shirt this time. It would have been nice to see more people at Fan Appreciation since I only ran into one other from the geek speak boards.

Awesome to hear that the Jurgens run on Captain America is getting traded.  I was rather fond of his work on the character.

Also amused by the Impossible Man trade.  There is one story that won't be in there, though.  He had a werid appearance in Superman #50, the historic engagement issue.  Superman artists past and present drew scenes for the book and the John Byrne pages revealed that a certain imp from the fifth dimension had another identity in the Marvel Universe.  It was a sly bit of cross company crossover fun.

Here are the scans.

The set-up is this; Mr. Mxyzptlk (the imp from the 5th dimension) has given Lex Luthor a chunk of Red Kryptonite that seemingly took away Superman's powers.  The only catch is that Luthor could never tell Superman where he got the Red K.  Clark tricks Lex into telling him and that's when we get to this page.

After being defeated Mxy goes back to what he was doing.

There ya go!
