Hey wow! These are amazing and you can tell the artist that did them is incredibly strong and handsome.
Inazuma: The Hawkman one is a reference to Ma$e's Harlem World. Hawkman carries a mace. Mace = Ma$e, get it? Okay yeah I was kind of reaching by the time I got to that one.
Thanks for the linkage Tiki! Glad to see they are catching on!

Thank you, ryan. For some reason I've been scouring the Monkey Room first before moving to the Drawing Board.

Greetings boogie children. Just thought I might share a fun little art project I was working on a while back, remixing various album covers with various comic book characters. Not a terribly original concept, I know, but I hadn't seen any rap albums get this kind of treatment so I figured, why not me? I'm new here and still figuring out the board's collective tastes, but I figure someone here might be able to appreciate these.
K-Dub,
If I could give you a 5-Up, I would. These are AWESOME!!!!!!
I was like who even remembered Ant Banks 'Big Thangs' with the Grizzly bears on the cover! LOL!
Sir, these are excellent. I love them!
The only one I don't get is Hawkman. What's the album?
And I bet when you tell me, I'll slap my forehead...
Ohhh, ok. Thanks, ya'll.

If there is one thing that I don't like about the forums is that it is so compartmentalized. I don't WANT to check out every sliver of every little compartment. I'm the kinda guy who likes to just let the random thoughts flow. I can understand the idea behind "the Monkey Room" because it's not comic stuff but outside of that...

If it was an open forum, like the Bendis Board for example, things would fall off the first page very quickly.

I can understand that thought pattern. Instead though (and I'm only speaking from my own habits) I never see them at all because they are in places I do not visit. Also, by looking at the reactions of others who commented on my thread, many others surf the same way I do.
It kinda seems like a damned if you do, damned if you don't scenario.

I can understand that thought pattern.
I'm glad. Because I'd hate to have evaD's webcomic updates or Darren's movie reviews or artists open to commissions bumped out of sight because Marvel and DC announced a new exclusive artist.
Instead though (and I'm only speaking from my own habits) I never see them at all because they are in places I do not visit.
I'm not one to tell others how to surf or navigate the way they visit websites, but there are features in place that can make someone's visit more... "enjoyable" I guess we can say. Productive, maybe?
At the top of the page, under the banner and menu, where it says "Hello [forum member]", there is a link that shows unread posts since last visit. If you do not see that link, click the plus sign next to the date and time. That'll show you what's been going on in every board. Just throwing it out there as an option.
Also, by looking at the reactions of others who commented on my thread, many others surf the same way I do.
Yes. And if you look right here in the Drawing Board you'll see people that very rarely pop into the Bullpen.
