(And kudos for having an Aboriginal Australian as the Bushranger. Although Batman's hand in that oath panel is massive!)
That got me so hyped. This book is so diverse in cultures.

I wish more comics were like this.  Cry

Still don't get it. Any other writer puts this title out and he would get ripped apart for it. But Morrisson gets away with this kind of stuff. Blows my mind.

It depends on what you like in your books.  If another writer did this I don't know if they'd get ripped apart.  I mean Hickman does a similar approach to this on S.H.I.E.L.D. and Rozum on Xombi.  I think all of the above writers are dividing, but most people, even if they don't enjoy the comics, can appreciate the intricate plotting, high concepts and character moments.  If it's too much of a slow burn for you, that doesn't mean it's garbage.  I think what makes a bad writer is no attention to characterization, lack of story structure, too much explanation, lack of humor, no subtly and a script that doesn't allow me to use my imagination.  Morrison does these things, but you've got to have a little patience.

I enjoyed the issue.

Did Bruce look incredibly creepy to anyone else?  His eyes followed me wherever I went on this page:

That was the one image of Bruce I didn't like.  It looks downright creepy.

Maybe it's because he's smiling though.

But goddamn was the issue fun.  besides that one image, Chris nailed the art.  I'm so glad he got the nod from DC.

Agreed, that close up was awkward and that the issue kicked ass.

Anyone know who the transparent flying chick was on the cover though?

I'm guessing it's representing Oracle? There was a panel in the book where a computer screen had her icon on it with Bat-ears added.

I loved that shot of Bruce; I thought it was a perfect visualization of Bruce Wayne as a character mask Batman wears.
