Still don't get it. Any other writer puts this title out and he would get ripped apart for it. But Morrisson gets away with this kind of stuff. Blows my mind.
It depends on what you like in your books. If another writer did this I don't know if they'd get ripped apart. I mean Hickman does a similar approach to this on S.H.I.E.L.D. and Rozum on Xombi. I think all of the above writers are dividing, but most people, even if they don't enjoy the comics, can appreciate the intricate plotting, high concepts and character moments. If it's too much of a slow burn for you, that doesn't mean it's garbage. I think what makes a bad writer is no attention to characterization, lack of story structure, too much explanation, lack of humor, no subtly and a script that doesn't allow me to use my imagination. Morrison does these things, but you've got to have a little patience.
