Well, the signing that we held on Saturday was a HUGE success. We couldn't have asked for a better event. We had the I,Zombie team (Mike & Laura Allred and Chris Roberson) Scott Clark, Dave Beaty (Brightest Day, and many up-coming DC titles), and William Harms (InFamous.) All of these wonderful people where some of the more humble, kindest, sweet, all around generous people I have meet in the comics industry. They all took the time to talk with everyone that showed up, and they signed every book that was presented to them. The signing event was from 12-4pm and there was a steady line out the door almost the entire length of the signing, we must have had 200-300 people come through. We were also holding a raffle and raised $500 for the Shade Tree Charity. Not only were the guests signing, but also selling their originals. Scott Clark and Dave Beaty's Brightest Day pages were interesting to see, since they worked completely in Digital for that series. And Mike Allred was selling his originals at 50% off. I saw a lot of Brightest Day pages along with Madman and I,Zombie interiors and covers walking out the door to some very lucky and happy customers.
Before the signing started we held a meet and greet in our back/gaming room, where the guest could eat and our VIP customers where able to meet our guest before the event.
The Allreds
And since the current issue of Superman #711 featured Superman in Las Vegas, we had Superman visit the shop. Also in the picture is Chris Roberson
My fiance was very happy to get her Wonder Woman MAC signed. The Allreds mentioned that this was the first time they signed the make-up
This is the original piece I bought from Mike Allred. It's a character design from X-Force. Can not beat this at half off.
