Comic books Colorado style:  THE OUTDOORSMAN!!!



I discovered this comic at a Denver Comic shop two weeks ago. I picked it up because it was a $12 limited run TPB of a webcomic made by a local city artist (support ground level comics!). I really like the art style. Dude draws a sweet Krampus. It was printed black and white and I actually prefer it to the colored versions you can find at

If you see Patrick Hoover at a convention somewhere, I highly recommend you get your hands on the actual book.

I have a hard time articulating exactly why this works so well, but it does.

I guess it is one part Hellboy, one part Hunting Show and all the comedic (and action) possibilities that lie between those two poles.

This would make an awesome movie or tv show btw...
