For what he was charging for sketch cards, I'm not sure which theft was more egregious.

I'm surprised it doesn't happen more.

It's not surprising to hear it was Adams bc I recall being at NYCC on Sunday with my kids and Adams table was unoccupied as we pushed through the crowds, which baffled me because the place was wall to wall.

Yeah, but that might include a free upgrade that allows you to hand it back to him in a few years so he can redo what he doesn't like.

36 sketch cards = $10,000.00?

Do you know how many $50.00 burgers that could buy you?

Why artists leave work out to be stolen still boggles my mind.  Tape stuff down and put stuff behind the table.  I don't get the problem.

It still sucks regardless and I've seen stuff get stolen at shows all the time more from retailers.  I wish people were just more respectable and honest.

Yeah, it seems weird to me too, especially for an artist who can command a lot of money for their work. I would think these artists would just need to ask on facebook to have a volunteer man their table at the con, and they would be overwhelmed with people willing to help. That's all the determent you would need.
