The conversation over in the " The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo" thread has me thinking. What did I think was a horrible idea but actually turned out pretty cool?
Well the one that pops into my head is Black Panther taking over Daredevil's book for a while. As a huge DD fan I was pissed,really pissed. I thought it was the most stupid thing ever.
That said, I boycotted the first couple of issues. Then I started to pick them up. Now before this I never really read any BP books. I knew of him thru Marvels O.H.O.T.M.U
Now I am a Black Panther fan. I will be looking for some more of his stuff at cons now.
Glad I was wrong.

I was wrong in avoiding Avengers Academy because I didn't like the directions the other Avengers books were taking. Gage and co have been doing some great stuff and I'm planning to catch up.

I was wrong in thinking that Moon Knight would be any good. Even with dcbs discount I feel ripped off. (75% off)

i was wrong to decide to drop captain america when i did. directly afterwards they announced samnee was coming on, and also, the book started to get really good again. which ultimately is good, because i didn't really want to drop it.

I'm going with with Avengers Academy as well. I thought I had enough of Avengers: Initiative that I could skip Avengers Academy and come back at some point in the future. I didn't realize Avengers Academy while having some of the same characters was going to be that different and that good. Now I have to jump on the monthly later in the game.

I was wring to stick with iron man. the .1 issue had me all excited, but we haven't gotten to it yet and it is the book I am the least excited about.

it's true. so promising. wasn't bad, wasn't nearly as awesome as it should've been. i have high hopes for ellis though.

yeah that was the book I was most excited about when the Heroic age started. The two I was least excited about (Avengers Academy and Thunderbolts) are my favorites

I was wrong to move towards trades/collections just before Marvel increased the price point on collections, lowered the per issue value on collections, dramatically increased the wait time between HC and more affordable TPB's, and then lowered the single issue prices of many limited series and a few regular series back to $3.

In 2008 I predicted a significant upsurge in comic book sales (30%-40% increase) in comic book sales by 2013 (I used history to back up my claims). Well, so far I've been wrong. But I got a few years still. We'll see.
