Old Comic Cartoons

I've started watching "The Tick" cartoon for the first time in at least a decade. Though it's not as fun as it was under ten, I'm still digging it. Anyone else watch any comic cartoons or movies recently that that hadn't seen since you we're a kid? If so, what? What did you think of it now as compared to when it was first coming out?

I've been watching some G.I. Joe. Some of the ones written by Steve Gerber are really subversive.

I watched some of that Silver Surfer cartoon from a few years ago. It's not great but I had some fun watching it.

I saw that on netflix, and was wondering if it was worth checking out.

Just viewed some of the original Superman cartoons from the 30's and 40's.
Now much in the way of plot or characterization, but seriously, who cares. The animation, however, is glorious!

The Silver Surfer cartoon has a great art style but the writing is weak. The old 60's Spider-Man is awesome. And I personally love the campiness of Spider-Man and his Amazing Friends as well as DC's Super Friends. As was said before GI Joe totally holds up. I've got an affinity for the old Charlie Brown cartoon specials as well. The Maxx cartoons that used to play on MTV are extremely faithful to the comics which is cool to see, and around that same time HBO had a really cool Spawn cartoon. I could talk about old comic cartoons all day.

Visionaries (Knights of the Magical Light) is still kinda fun. I like the concept and wish they could've done more than 10 or so episodes. Did they ever do a comic of that? I seem to remember something but I could be wrong.
Spider-Man and his Amazing friends is also still fun.

The Tick ages surprisingly well.
I've seen pretty much every superhero cartoon, either when It came out (well, dubbed into Spanish) or in hindsight years later.
I still know the themes to all the super old cartoons in spanish

Thundarr the Barbarian!
Comic book writer-artist Jack Kirby worked on the production design for the show. While many people believe that Kirby was the primary designer of the show (mainly due to his similarly themed Kamandi: The Last Boy On Earth), the main characters were in fact designed by fellow comic book writer-artist Alex Toth, who also designed the popular character Space Ghost for Saturday morning television. Toth, however, was unavailable to continue working on the show, so most of the wizards and other villains and secondary characters that appear on the show were designed by Kirby. He was brought onto the show at the recommendation of comic writer Steve Gerber and comics and animation veteran Mark Evanier, who realized that the same imagination that produced Kamandi could contribute significantly to the series.
