Yeah, that anger is a beeyotch.

Having a brain injury is no picnic for the injured, especially when they're aware of their new limitations. But sometimes, they do get a fuller range of emotion to play with. When they're happy they GO FOR IT! When they're mad THEY GO FOR IT. When they're sad THEY GO FOR IT!  Moral is, sometimes the brain injury takes away that little thing that causes us to stifle ourselves "in polite society."  But sometimes "polite society" really does need to go f*ck itself.  Roll On Floor Laughing

I'm saying that what I do is offer new perspectives to the folks I work with.  I show them another side of their life. Take them places they haven't been to in a long time.  I give them a safe companion with whom they can be themselves and not be afraid to fail.  Because brain injury or not, they're people. They're still people.  Y'know?

But y'know what else? I don't think it's that hard to do. In fact, I think people like us know a little bit about that.  In fact I know it because I've seen it. I've heard it on these podcasts and read it in these boards.  I've seen it in your Facebook pictures.  We love superheroes. Why? Because their message appeals to us.

"People are worth it."

You guys believe that. Because it's true.
Ergo I shall call Le Bullshite' on the following;

I've never done anything in my life that equals caring for people in need like you have.

I see you do it on Tuesdays. You're a Dad.
I've seen you be at this for more than a decade. You're a Husband.
I've heard you represent this ideal for all of us. You're a podcaster.

Yeah, like I've said before.

We ROCK.

btw, Alan, Dormammu and Umar were both creatures of pure energy/flame in the Faltine dimension, and were exiled, taking on humanoid form, and hooked up with a conquerer-type, eventually leading him to the Mindless One's dimension, where the warrior-guy died, Dormammu taking over and giving up his flesh, Umar staying perfectly comfortable in hers.

I think I remember the flames around his head being different altogether: the Flames of Regency or something sorta similar.....I'm pretty sure I remember Umar having yellow flames around her head while she was ruling the Dark Dimension when Dormammu was unseated, and losing them when he returned.

Best Marvel Noise episode ever? Rock Horns Okay so I'm using extreme's but this episode just about had it all. Great anniversary episode. Lots of David and Such an awesome team-up with Pat for a looong segment that I still need to finish off.
The Marvel #150 issues had me rolling on the floor several times which wasn't good since I was moving furniture and was surrounding by stacks of comics. Very funny guys...just a little crazy going on Wink Thunderbolts #150? Thinking I wasn't expecting that. I was sure that some Marvel classic would have had a great #150 and that would have grabbed top honours. Nice for Thunderbolts regardless. It has a lot of competition from Iron Man #150/Uncanny #150. If this segments goes on it's going to get shorter and shorter unless the amount of time per issue increases to compensate. Of course I'm thinking too far ahead. What was with the Fleetwood?  No

Truly an epic contribution to and celebration of the legacy that is Marvel Noise.  Clap

Dancing Bananas Happy Birthday
Jam Band

Bunny Dance
Orange Dance Rudabage Dance Pineapple Dance Mango Dance Group Wave Banana Love D.S. Bananas Banana
Dancing Banana Banana Banger Dancing Broccoli

150 episodes of unsurpassed excellence.

A very informed and touching tribute to start of the episode with a cavalcade of guest stars.  I haven't read that story about the soldier from the future since it came out but it is still firmly implanted in my memory which is no mean feat.  It does make you think how much those funny books contributed to one's development as a person.  I hope he finds whatever solace he can in the differences he has made in so many lives.

Super Steve and New Mutant . . . . Boogie You know this must be a special episode.  Happy belated birthday to Mr. Raker.  The twin titans kept me informed and amused as we revisited the milestone issues.  It is sad to think that so fewer titles will make those anniversary issues what with the constant renumbering and rebooting.  All right I will have to try Thunderbolts.  Super Steve is on record saying that its 150th issue is better than the classic Lee/Ditko Spiderman.   Thinking  That is going to be one heck of an issue.  Get me to a comic book store.

Like everyone, it was nice to hear Pat again and also to hear the King himself decree what books are making the grade.  Nice when the Master of the Realm give his subjects the benefit of his expertise.  A tremendous episode all around.  Not Worthy Not Worthy Not Worthy

Keep up the great work and keep making mine Marvel Noise.
