donalfall's Sketchbook - Critique away!
« on: 08:05 PM | Tuesday, May 03, 2011 »

Hello EOCers.

As I said in the introduce yourself thread, I've been listening to the guys for about 2 years or more, but I've only recently strayed as far as the forum for many reasons. SmileyGlad to be here though. I also spend a lot of time over at conceptart.org, where you can find my general Sketchbook, where you can find my more generally themed fine art, sketches, concepts etc. My website is down because trying to find a reliable and reasonable host is a pain, but hopefully I should get it up and running soon.

I'm just going to post the more comic related/fan art stuff here for your entertainment, plus anything for the Monthly drawing board challenge. As per the Critiques thread, I always welcome critiques, so say what you like. I also take requests if I have time. Smiley

Anyway, enough rambling -

Process stuff is always welcome.  I hope that you pursue the reworking of your comic work, the three characters you've shown are quite varied, and Leviathan was good for a chuckle.  Glad you started posted buddy  Thumbs Up

Cheers Jon O. That particular project is on hold. The person I most wanted to write it was lukewarm and the girl who actually did write something for me didn't produce a script with any *heart*, sadly, and seeing as the concept is humorous slice-of-life-y, it needs to have a bit of resonance. There's another few projects on the go, though, including this one:

And sometimes I moonlight out with a local Comic Book Society in the college here, producing things like this -

I had fun doing a mock-up cover for a POW! Challenge over on Conceptart.org -

and I started on David's Monthly Challenge a few months ago - the "Gotham City Sirens" one - with a Catwoman piece I was having fun with, til someone at CA pointed out that the money bin is square. TongueLost heart then. Might finish it yet.

Newer stuff coming soon, it's been a busy week. I have a Star Wars bit for Woooood. Smiley

Batman has to constitute a public service menace to *most* of Gotham, right? Tongue

Nomi Sunrider for the Star Wars challenge for Wood. I like the Tales of the Jedi books, although they are flawed.
