My only exposure to reading Wild Dog in a story was in that recent issue of Booster Gold. But I have always thought he had an awesome costume design. Cool sketch, Pat! Thanks for sharing! Chris Samnee is fast becoming one of my favorite artists.

Awright! Made it over here finally
Great 'cast, you guys are always at the 'top-top-top' of my playlist.
After the first couple of shows I wasn't really seeing the need to add a fourth peanut to the gallery, but I find Wood a nice addition, after all, and he's shared my opinion a few times already.
I like the soapbox/bitching/'arguments'/opinion sharing.... that'll keep this show refreshing and interesting, just be open to having one's opinion changed (VINCE! )
I've been working on making some shelves in my basement (I know... basement ) for my long boxes, and theyre finally done! I'll post a couple of pix when I get the chance... I've been waiting a LONG time for the light at the end of this project's tunnel!

I'm not easily swayed, but when I realize I've made an error in judgment (or when I'm flat-out wrong), I'll be the first to admit it. I'm not proud.
Glad you joined, Steve.

Great Episode! You guys had me dying over this Secret Invasion thing. In my opinion the skrulls look a little silly, but I like them silly. Hell Big G-Money (that's Galactus to squares) ate their home world like Big Mac from McDonalds. The Avengers titles are what is really keeping me into SI as an event those books have been straight fire (good) . I wonder what the discussion about Final Crisis is going to be like since that is the other big event that's like to come up in a lot of comic fans minds this week.
P.S. am I the only noticing how much of a Bite this is of modern BSG, its not bad but it's kinda obvious. But its a good Bite like Puff Daddy remixes in the mid 90s.

I hear that a lot. Battlestar Galactica has been on the air since 2003. The last issue of Avengers has a cover date of December, 2004. If Bendis has been planning this since before Disassembled, I wonder if it is a nod. He does run in some Hollywood circles, but I believe he's gone on record (on a Word Balloon episode) stating that he did not watch BSG when it came out.

Yeah I don't think its a direct jack move, it has some of the same feeling of uneasiness thats early on in the show and the style of reveals are similar.

I liked this episode quite a bit. I don't see how Pat could see this as being an overly negative episode. Geez, you guys didn't even mention Greg Land once. But seriously, folks, try the veal. I'll be here all week.
HOUSE OF MYSTERY was not only incredibly awesome, it was one of "those" issues that made me want to hand it straight to my girlfriend and say, "You've got to read this!". Knowumsayin? It was that good and that outright cool in a sort of mainstream media kind of way (if that makes sense). The lingering arc sucked me right in and the supplemental story was perfectly gross and weird. I haven't given it to my girl to read just yet (because I'm still being selfish about it, if you must know) but I have a feeling that she's going to love it. She's big on the scary movies and she ate up Y:TLM.
Before, I forget, Wood, as I was listening to this episode, I was actually thinking about how great your voice sounded. IMHO, it's got all the makings of a classic radio voice. It's got warmth and personality. And then here you were getting all self-conscious. No more insecurity needed on your part, sir.
What else, what else...oh, yeah, I completely agree with the Mark Millar comment. Great guy, who has yet to prove himself in this reader's eyes. Way too hit and miss, miss, miss.
Excited about the Tomb omnibus, and I already have all of the Tomb Essentials. Great, great stuff.
Great show guys. Keep it up.

My favorite part was when David cussed! This is where the BIG boys play!
RE: The Secret Invasion, visually, I do have to agree with Vince about the various super Skrulls, but it didn't bother me as much as it seemed to bother him. And with Chris too, I agree, that it seems uneven, but in Captain Britain one of the characters even asked why the Skrulls were going so overboard on Britain--and apparently the answer was that they wanted to destroy the magic in the land over there, so that might be a reason why there was war in one title and sneaky subterfuge in others.
According to the solicitations, apparently, the war is going to break out all over--but again it means all sorts of one-shots and minis outside of the S.I. series itself. "Front Line", "F.F.;S.I." etc. DC was just as guilty with all those Crisis tie-ins. I was easily and quickly lost over there, so I ignored it all and just got the DC titles I liked. Thanks to podcasts, I learned what I missed and that was all I really needed.
Anyway, I like this podcast! You guys got me aboard!

Well said. This book was all kinds of kicked ass. I 'really appreciate the one-shot format. I don't need to get drawn into a convoluted series and my lack of historical knowledge does not matter when reading this title. It's refreshing.
My Millar experience has been limited Civil War, Kick-Ass, and most of it has been under-whelming. So far I am waiting for something consistent and more perpetual.
An Omnibus Tomb. Hmmmm, how creamy dreamy would that be? Answer: Very!!

I'm gonna have to agree with Vince re:the other Super Skrulls. They should only take the necessary shapes to actively use a mimicked power, not look like them all the time. They're skrulls, not the Super-adaptoid. I can get behind the concept, even tho I think they fell down in the execution.
I'd rather hear honest negatives than false positives as far as the tone goes. And it's all said in fun, so it doesn't upset me to have the guys knock something they aren't digging.
Keep up the good work, guys.
