Need some Black Panther help
« on: 12:05 PM | Tuesday, May 17, 2011 »

OK guys,

I'm doing a Black Panther commission and to be perfectly honest.  I don't know much about him other than what he looks like, his name, and that he's cool.

Here's what I need to know...

Where does he typically operate (i.e., jungle, plains, city, etc.)
  Does he ever use weapons?
Is the cape preferred?  When does he where it?

Lastly, what types of things would you want to see in a Black Panther commission?

Thanks for the help guys.

i'm not a black panther expert, but here's what i know:

1. he's from wakanda (think futuristic african village), but is currently operating in hell's kitchen, nyc. i think you can get away with setting him wherever you'd like.
2. i have seen him use throwing knives (some made of vibranium and some made of energy (in avengers cartoon)) and retractable claws in fingertips of gloves.
3. i think the cape is primarily ceremonial, though you may want to check with the individual who commissioned the piece to see if they have a preference.
4. black panther's a hand-to-hand master, so maybe mid-combat trouncing a bunch of thugs? stalking some dudes from an nyc rooftop? getting tender with ororo?

I'm not a BP expert either, but the current "tactical" look they are going for nowadays looks awesome.
