Sad's exactly the way to describe it. I can't even hate him anymore, he's sunk that low.

An old saying about people in glass houses comes to mind when I read comments like that from Mr. Brevoort.

Brevoort shows his ass whenever he opens his mouth.  In other news, water's wet.

Exactly. I was just thinking that all of Tom's criticisms could be applied to the very books he's edited over the years.

It's a friggin disaster. Considering how heavy handed Disney is traditionally with is employee policies (people can and have been fired for not wearing underwear or having bad personal hygiene), how do they not muzzle this dillweed?

Times like these make me think of The Godfather. Would Michael handle things this way? No. Perhaps Sonny, but not Michael. And that's why he became head of the family

This guy should not be allowed in public or near the internet. Why doesn't someone at Marvel do something about this?

This is getting so bad that I have started to lose respect for Marvel. I am not kidding. It is hard to like a company when a member of their management acts this way.

How does this behavior help sell comics?

I did the same thing on a recent Comic Book Noise episode so I don't really have a problem with it. I just wish he gave more clues. After all there are LOT of books that he could have been talking about.

That said, if I was his boss, I would have told him to knock it the fuck off. If he ever gets fired from Marvel, does he think talking smack about DC will make him any friends over there? Even if he wasn't talking about DC, everybody is pretty sure that he is.

Good point Derek. He better hope Marvel never fires him. There may not be a lot of people that will vouch for the guy.

I'll never understand why "professionals" (mainly in entertainment) don't understand what respect means amongst colleagues.

In my position, if I was to go off about how other hospitals run their units publicly. Specifically pointing out to the public where the lapses are, I would be lucky to not be fired.

That being said, we constantly berate titles and talk about what "hot messes" they are. Nice not to work in the industry  Wink

This is the trade off of the internet age and getting so much insight and casual interaction with creators and industry types.

Personally, he doesn't bother me all that much.

That this guy has lasted through so many staff turnovers and leadership/ownership changes amazes me......and trying to dress like Ed Brubaker doesn't impress me or make me think you're a beatnik, or artsy or anything......

They should fire Breevort and Cc Jim Starlin on the notice with hopes he'll come back from his exile (how dare he want to use Adam Warlock in a Thanos comic!).

So....his comments are based on at best a page or two in Previews and not the actual comic? Good thing I can't find a SINGLE SOLITARY BAD page of Marvel comics from last year or I would really tell him off.........
