So...only about a month away: June 3-5 in Charlotte, NC.

I'll be there.  Anyone else going?

Have a great time. I love that show. Unfortunately I had to cancel because of baby #3.

I'm going too.  I love Heroes Con.  It's my Christmas.

I'll be there at least 2 but hopefully all 3 days.

Has anyone heard yet of anything going on after the Con?

As always, I fully intended to go but once it gets down to D-Day I realize how futile those plans were.

Between work, my sons' sports activities, a pending trip to Hawaii, and the ramping of football season, an early June trip just isn't feasible.

We'll be there. Lamar (REMAKE SPECIAL) Abrams is suppose to be coming down with us.

I'm going to try to get down to Heroes since it's in my backyard.

Which island you headed to Jason? Hawaii is basically my wife and my favourite place on earth. We've been 4 times and hope to go back this summer as well. Totally worth the long flight from the east coast.

We're heading to Maui. My brother-in-law and his fiance live there, and we're bringing the family out there for two weeks for a wedding/vacation.  Should be the awesome sauce. My wife and I have been to a few of the islands before, and she went twice before we were together. It's fantastic for so many reasons.

We went to Maui for the second time last summer and I agree. There's a reason the locals say "Maui no ka oi." We've done Maui twice, and Oahu and Kauai once each. The people are great, the food rocks (poke and shave ice), and the waves are consistent as hell (a far cry from the east coast).

I had to relay your comment from the show awhile back to my wife regarding you and your wife watching Hawaii 50 each week. We do the same thing for the same reason, just to remember how flippin' great it is there.

I honestly don't know what kinda Post-con action will be going on.  I grew up just north of Charlotte and worked there until the mid-90's but it has changed a TON and gotten a much more lively downtown since I moved away.

And....I'll probably miss out on a fair bit of the afterhours stuff b/w my tea-totaling (I'm so dull) and the fact that I'm saving $$$ by staying with my parents.  I'd just end up designated drivering for everyone anyway.  Smiley

I'm planning on going. It's a bit of a drive, but I wanna do it. I've heard too many great things about this show to keep passing it up.

Awesome, buddy.

The Westin at Ka'anapali on Maui is my spot.

Our first trip was more in the center/east (Kihei), but after having stayed more to the west around Ka'anapali the second time in Maui, I prefer that area too. The Sheraton Maui on Black Rock was our spot and it was so awesome.

This lessens the blow of me not being able to attend.

Cancellations are such bummers.
