Come up with a new and interesting spin on an existing title

And by that I mean taking the actual title of a book and pitching a new idea based on that title alone.
For example, I was watching a movie review show last night and they reviewed this movie called Sleeping Beauty. It stars Emily Browning (Baby Doll from Sucker Punch in case anyone here actually saw that) as this girl who works for this organisation where girls agree to get drugged and sleep with older men but there's no sex involved. Hence, Sleeping Beauty.
For example: Swamp Thing could be about Ben Grimm moving to the wetlands, Speedball could be about the dangers of hazardous intravenous use of heroin or morphine and cocaine together in the same syringe (thanks Wikipedia), X-Men could be about the day to day lives of men who've had a sex change to become women,
Something like those but better  So what'chu got?

Iceman: Val Kilmer's character in Top Gun gets into the refrigeration business.
That would work but I had an idea Maverick would make an appearance for a completely different reason.

Doom Patrol could be stories of:
A. those manning U.S. or Soviet nuclear missile silos during pivotal, contentious moments of the Cold War.
B. border guards in Europe between NATO & Warsaw Pact countries.
...or to be more contemporary stories of:
C. those in nuclear weapons facilities in India & Pakistan.
D. those stationed in the DMZ between North & South Korea.
To be honest, I never really understood the "doom" that DC's Doom Patrol was "patrolling".
