I know nothing about lot buying but that seems like a hell of a deal and wealth of reading material. I'm not a huge SD guy but I do buy copies of Megaton anytime I see them in good shape.

49 books late 80s Tim Truman goodness!

Its officially time to get started binding.

Adam Warlock is probably (along with Deadpool and Azrael) my favorite character in comics so I tend to buy/hoard anything remotely associated with him and added a cheapie recent with buying one of those packaged-for-retailer sets of Warlock and the Infinity Watch (the first issue may be my favorite single comic book issue). Limited edition of 70k  Rock Horns

I talked a bit about it here.

And I'm not kidding. Find me OA pages I dig and I'll pay you!

Hoping to find Englehart's run next.

I once (maybe 7-8 years ago) found the entire run of Alan Moore's Miracleman on Eclipse, save for the two crucial issues: his daughter's birth and the massacre of London. I found the birth issue a few years later in another bin. All I'm missing now is the London issue, and I doubt that I am going to find it in any bin anywhere.

Oh well.

Always thought he was such a cool character, amplified by his and Barda's appearance on JLU. I could do with more MM - is he active anywhere post FC?

Anytime I felt like I found a new G.O.A.T I go back to this run and correct myself.

I have a couple of things to share later in the week if fedex tracking can be believed!

A few years ago I was on eBay and saw a Mister Fantastic statue going for $0.99 and free shipping, I won it for $0.99 so I guess really he paid me to take it Smiley

A while back I stumpled upon a VERY cool book at a yard sale that was well designed and illustrated. I bought it and loved it so much, that I talked about it here: http://www.adhousebooks.com/blog/?p=232

After some suggestions from the twitterverse, I looked closer, and the artist turned out to be Syd Mead!

Got an email yesterday from Graphic Collectibles, who were selling two originals from the book. At that point, I found out that this book can go for around $800. I think I paid $1 for it. Not bad.  Cheesy

Would have loved to have gotten one of those originals, too! http://www.graphiccollectibles.com/detail/index.cfm?nPID=13908

A Coliseum of Comics in Orlando, FL is moving and selling a lot of their stock from the old store; the sale started on January 19 at 30% and has added another 5% off for everyday. I've gone back and forth, gauging when to buy stuff. They had a TON of GREAT stuff at a HUGE discount. I saw $99 Omnibus's at 45%-55% off. Anyway, here's what I got:

35%:
New X-Men Vol. 3 trade (it was the last one, didn't want to risk it)
Ultimate Elektra (I'm a sucker for Daredevil stuff)

45%:
Marvel's Project HC
Parker: The Outfit
Captain America: Winter Soldier Vol. 2

70%:
Superman: New Krypton Vol. 1, 2, & 3 (all HCs)

80%:
Superman: Codename Patriot HC
New X-Men Vol. 1 HC (already own the trade, couldn't pass up the $8 hardcover)
Secret Warriors Vol. 1 HC
Ultimate Spiderman Vol. 5 (for the nephew)
and...
Daredevil Omnibus by Brubkaer Vol. 2 (for $16!)

I think I put some x-mas money to good use. It was one of the better sales I've seen, tons of good stuff there too with 90% off this weekend.

Over the past couple of weeks I've been scouring Ebay trying to get good deals on various Big 2 superhero comics (which is a big glaring hole in my collection). I've specifically been looking for Batman, Daredevil, and Captain America stuff.

So far, I've managed to pick up an almost complete run of Batman: Legends of the Dark Knight #0-115, plus all Annuals, for $50 dollars in total. I still miss a few issues (#98 and #101 in particular), but I'm sure I'll find those soon enough.

I also picked up five TPBs of Brubaker's Captain America run for $20.

Very excited to get started on these soon  Yes

Good series.  I can send you #101 if you want.
