Book Recommendations
« on: 05:03 PM | Sunday, March 08, 2009 »

This thread is for those who want to
A) recommend a book they've enjoyed to the rest of the group or
B) ask whether anyone in the group would recommend a particular title.

Details like RIYL (Recommended If You Like), genre types, etc., are appreciated! Thumbs Up

how the HELL does guillermo del toro do it?

i read the strain during flu season when i and the other people in the house were sick as dogs.

now i just finished the fall, only a few months after the earthquake/nuclear meltdown in japan.

this is goddam creepy. (i suppose you'll need to have red either book to understand).

anyhoo, the fall was very good. not as good as the strain, but still very well done. quite a worthy sequel. shit just hit the fan.

I am starting to really turn off reviews. On reading your post Mike, I looked up the book and loved the sound of it. O was chomping at the bit to jump into it. Then I read a few bad reviews and am in a way turned off. See they have ruined it for me because as Ian reading it I will be conscious of everything written and it will take me out of the story.

A few years ago I would justgoneout, bought it and read the shit out of it. Which fuck it I am still going to do.

After I finish The First Law trilogy (which I think might of been another one of your mentions) and then Dance of Dragons.
