The more I see of this show in trailers the more I'm coming to believe that it's going to be awesome. At first I was excited, then I started getting a little paranoid, and now I'm nearing a geekgasm. I still feel like the general feel of the story is a little more downcast than I remember from the books, which (as I recall) started off with more of a typical (low stakes) fantasy feel and led to the inevitable kick in the balls being that much more painful. But that's probably just nitpicking coinciding with my inaccurate memory.
