I seem to remember a scene in Captain America #448 (Waid and Garney's firts run) when the Red Skull was reaching for the Cosmic Cube and to stop him, Cap let's loose his shield only to have it slice the skulls arm off.
I remember thinking, "Well, that's something that I haven't seen in a Cap book before. AWESOME!!"

Let's just say that it's Nick Fury being a total badass and leave it at that.
The look on the guy's face was priceless.

So many to choose from but here’s a few fairly recent ones that spring to mind...
Remember that time when... Osborn tried to *&%$ with Phobos? (More Secret Warriors love. The title is full of these moments.)
Remember that time when... Ares found out about Osborn? (Just a shame he didn’t get to take his revenge properly).
Two great ‘new’ characters. Can’t wait till they’re back.
Oh, and remember that time when... Cyclops reminded Wolverine why he’s still in charge?

Secret Warriors definitely has a lot of these moments. Something that I don't see get talked about enough is the kickass Dark Reign The List issue by Hickman and Ed McGuinness. I specifically like this page:
Then of course later in the issue he crosses out one of those things on his list:
What a total badass.

Such an awesome series. I bet it'd be near legendary if it had a consistent (and great) art team. Another great moment was
in issue 22. Fury's fucking hardcore.
