My Scottish accent was horrible this episode. It always was crossing the line between being incomprehensible and being British. Otherwise, good episode.  Thumbs Up

Eh, I don't know.  It wasn't good, but it was really good, if you know what I'm saying. You and Rick have better chemistry with every episode.

I work with real Scots voice actors and have a love for the Scots accent bordering on fetish, and believe me when I tell you, your Scots was not offensive or even bad. It was way better than some of the stuff I've heard from Americans trying way too hard.  Hell, your ability to act altogether is good. Again, take my word as someone who works with voice actors whose talents range from "Why aren't you getting paid for this" to "Aw bless the dear heart for trying" and YOU sir, are Good.  In the upper percentile of my little range there.

It worked for me.  I could tell where your character was from and could tell what you were saying and he seemed like his own character.  Mission accomplished.   Thumbs Up

I'm almost through the show. About 25 minutes to go...some reactions...

Smash Tales! Boy can the Hulk book get more dark and depressing? Crazy stuff!

The X-Men & Spider-Man was indeed in oversized Hardcover. It's a good read but still glad I got it on the cheap. There was a subplot running through the background of that title. Hearing about the sequel with the FF I'm going to have to grab that. Kind of reminds me of the Human Torch & Spider-Man through the ages that Dan Slott wrote that is a favourite of mine. I can't see myself not enjoying this and that art is indeed gorgeous.

Marvel really is inconsistent with its footnotes. It seems like it's much harder for them to do it on more modern books but something like Spider-man they have less of a problem.

Oh my....you have to have fun with your comics? *gasp* Looking forward to getting that Taskmaster trade. He was one of my favourites in Avengers: Initiative. 2 of 5? in a 4 issue mini? What is this Punisher: Circle of Blood? Where they couldn't keep their numbers straight.

Thunderbolts Rock Horns

I gotta laugh how "the action" was broken down in Invincible Iron Man. I don't think I've quite heard a review like that recently. Well done.

There was kind of a return to an Armor Wars like story in the first arc that Fraction wrote. Since Tony has so much tech out there it's bound to find it's way around.

Oooo, that Spidey/Torch mini WAS good, and in a similar vein as far as passing through the ages....good call!

Man, that was a grisly issue of Incredible Hulk!  Every time someone complains about how violent modern comics have become, you can easily find a 30 year old issue where someone, say, gets upside down and has their blood slowly drained.  Huh?  Great job on it, guys, as always.

Who doesn't love Smash Tales?  I thought this was a pretty creepy episode.  I never realized that Hulk's guardians were completely imaginary before.  What a strange book.  Bruce Banner is back?  I think Dr. Strange is looking at a malpractice claim.  Will try to save part 2 for the commute home if I make it.  Fare thee well and keep Making Mine Marvel Noise.

Andrew/ Steve: Excellent contribution this episode. I really like the way you guys play off each other with your comments. And as I have said about Steve before on his Raker's Dozen, I like and appreciate that you guys can review a series or an issue and say what worked and also waht did not, but in a respectful way. Nice job.

Andrew: I loved your reference to "Power Inflation". So true. So many heroes have had their powers seemingly quadruple over the years. To be fair, so have the villains. So at least I can understand where part of the inflation comes from. Like you, I prefer my heroes underpowered and fighting tough odds.

Steve: I think in this episode you made more non Marvel references than I can ever recall. I was shouting "But this is Marvel Noise, Steve! Marvel Noise!"

Great job gentlemen
cheers

No, it's okay! You should hear how off-DC topic Mike Myers and Keith Knudsen get on the sister podcast "DC Noise"!

Finally did finish the episode, dining on the Raker's Dozen with Showman Extraordinaire and The L.A. Rabbit.  Rabbit, you're the man.  I love your mellow compliment to Raker's emcee host.  I like your wit -- it matches well.
Thanks for the sum-up of the Detroit Steel entry of Iron Man, I dipped out right when that was starting up.

The King held court and I got to hear the original delivery of who enjoyed Maria Hill.  I feel your pain, King!  That eternal spot of enjoying someone, but perhaps not as much as #someone else# Whistle gets to.  Tongue
