I've seen this con grow from humble beginning in Mesa when I started going 5-6 years ago with a couple of thousand people to a REALLY great con.   Last year they had ~15,000, this year there had to have been > 30,000 people.  It was in the North & West halls of the Phoenix convention center which are BEAUTIFUL.  (Last year it was in the smaller/older south hall).

I had a GREAT time at the con.

It was my 1st time as a Con Guest, and not just a fan or press, which made for a very different (& fun) con experience.   I hosted 4 Trivia panels (1 each day), Comic Collectors Unite!, and a panel on Sunday that was a Family Feud style battle between Cosplayers & local comics artists/fans.  (The artists & fans won)

It felt great to get a round of applause at the conclusion of several panels, which let us know the people really enjoyed them.

Here I am with all the contestants:

And just the Cosplayers:

And just Power Girl (Jettie Monday), who did a great job making this costume herself!

A better shot of Silk Spectre (who is Eric Basladua's girlfriend, I forget her name) &  Phoenix (Brieanna Brock):

It looks like you had a great time, Bob! I'm glad the panels went so well.

Here's hoping Jettie Monday decides to wear that Power Girl costume to the Chicago Comic Con this summer. Wink
