I'm gonna do a post about X-23 soon. I also think Damian has potential, as does Batwoman. Tim Drake is relatively a new character and Robin is EASILY one of the 10 most recognizable characters in comics, though perhaps the man behind the mask is not. Also, while a 70s product, a character like Jamie Madrox has had a wonderful in-print evolution. Also Phantomex is the PIMP.

DAP, Hitman is one of my favorite DC comics ever (my favorite Ennis work) and it has a great Wonder Woman moment.

Yep. Although the Devil's advocate would point out that you're pointing out two Wolverine doppelgangers, a female version of the Bat, and another kid version of the Bat's sidekick. Fantomex = the straight dope, for sure.  Rock HornsRock HornsRock HornsRock HornsRock Horns

I also loved this arc, from the aligators to the 'buddy/sidekick flick'-type story it became in the 3rd act.

Add in the awesome Goran Parlov art and its a win.

He lets that black guy go and its NOT out of character. The guy had been PUNISHED ENOUGH. I'd be very happy if Victor followed Aaron.

Can I say Karma instead of Kiss!?

Its been three years or so and I still see Damian and a little shit that Bruce needs to kick the shit out of. Hate that kid so much.

I agree with the rest though

The issue I'd have is that there are shit load of classic characters that can't carry their own title either, so I don't the percentages are THAT skewed. Today we still deal with multiples of the ones that can - Batman family, Avengers, Mutant books etc, etc

I'd add Jessica Jones who apparently is getting a tv show. Sentry (who I thought was whack but certainly got a lot of air time).

Lots of thankless "suporters" though in The Hood, Phyla-Vell, Amon Sur, Black Alice, Skaar, people Like Bane in Birds of Prey.

Sure, it's SUPERHARD to make something that's a flagship, which is why a bunch of haters should lick  Liefeld balls for Deadpool and Cable, because that's about as close as we've got and they're both the shit. It's arguable that Deadpool is the most significant comic book character creation since the 70s from a pure what people actually like level in comics books.

I'd love to see Gishler do more Punisher.  His first comic was actually one of the Punisher one shots.  I think it was "Little Black Book"
