I have yet to watch that show. I'm biased.

I'd recorded the first five episodes on my DVR in anticipation of me probably liking it. I sat down this past weekend and began watching the first episode.


Blah. Total letdown. 


I couldn't make it through the first forty-five minutes. Way too much bad dialogue. Way too much unnecessary nudity. Cheesy costumes and bland acting abound. All in all, a total disappointment for me. Sean Bean can't even save this program. If you want a really great Sean Bean show, go watch the Sharpe series.

I now only have one reason for paying for HBO - Bill Maher.

I can parse the first three words fine. After that...nothing. It's like the rest of the sentence fell down a deep, dark hole.

In no way was the lesbian action from last week's episode unnecessary.

Nudity is perfectly acceptable when called for. I'm far from being a prude. Yet, unnecessary nudity just for the sake of it cheapens the story as a whole. It's a crutch bad writers lean upon when they have content that can't stand on its own. Purely my opinion, though.
