Galactus in his "summer outfit"!  That was great!   Roll On Floor Laughing

Agreed.

I've said before that each new Marvel Tales seems to be better than the last.  This one was no exception.  Bravo, Mr. Price!

I hope that they don't take up so much of your time that you get burnt out on doing them.  I guess I could live with a once a month Marvel Tales feature (God forbid) if need be.  Thus far, however, it would appear that you are having a great time doing them.

The best part about them is that, quite often, while I'm driving to work, or whatnot, I think about how much I'd rather just be home reading a comic.  This way, I can do both!  David Price's Comic Books On Tape service.  Truly appreciated.

You guys have me interested in the Pulp Covers book you mentioned. and what a price!
There's a lot of good "pin-up" books on the market.
This one is good for the fact of so many well know artist contributed:

Clean Cartoonists' Dirty Drawings
http://www.cleancartoonistsdirtydrawings.com/
Collected for the first time in this volume are scores of rare, previously suppressed, underground sketches by mainstream cartoonists: Carl "Donald Duck" Barks, Steve "Spider-Man" Ditko, Otto "The New Yorker" Soglow, Chuck "Bugs Bunny" Jones—69 scintillating artists all together! These cartoons will shock and amuse you with their sexy strays from the straight and narrow! A thick 160 color and black and white pages in the regular edition; 16 additional rare and titillating pages in the Limited Edition (SOLD OUT).

Holy crap!  I need to get this!

I think this should be in the Episode 5 thread for 11 O'Clock Comics.  I'll do a cut-n-paste.

Thanks for the kind words, everyone.

Well, I posted MY kind words BEFORE I heard the very end of the podcast where you said that Marvel Tales would most likely be taking a hiatus due to lack of free time.  Now that I'm faced with the very real possiblity of a lack of Marvel Tales in my life, I have this to say, David...

...screw you.

Kidding.  Kidding.  I am truly sorry that you will have to be working so damn hard during the summer months, But I knows hows it is.  Good luck, indeed.  Keep podcasting and I'll keep listening.  Even if you change the name of the show to "Marvel Drive Time with David Price."

It did sound like that, didn't it?  That wasn't my intent.  I don't want Marvel Tales to take a backseat to anything.  Chances are you will hear my thoughts on things while driving and during the summer Marvel Tales will miss a week or two, but I don't want anyone to think that 'Drive Time' is a replacement.  I'd like to think of it as an addition.

My turn to  Embarrassed !

Look for the season wrap-up either this Thursday or next.  It's the pulse-pounding conclusion to the senses-shattering two-parter, True Believer!

Regarding the Marvel Tales, I think the death tol was not a ret-con really. Amadeus Cho I believe explained it was Banner's influence that allowed careful calculations to ensure no one was ever killed. In this case, Banner's influence was not present to do this.

The Hulk sounds were great though. We need to piece those together in a conversation with the sounds Derek did a while back when covering that one obscure Legion chaaracter whose name escapes me at the moment.

Since this week's Marvel Tales Hulk book was just re-released in recent weeks in the Hulk Visionaries:Byrne vol.1 trade, I had it sitting out...
I couldnt resist, so I picked it up and read along as I listened to David wax eloquent.  I almost pissed my pants laughing, even though I knew the 'groans and growls' were coming.  One after the other, it was still funny! Cheesy
..and I know just what you mean about the Byrne 'poses' with the forearm across the chest with the open hand floating there.  Seen it a bajillion times.

Awesome.  Thanks, Ryan.  That's the kinda stuff I was looking to hear/read/find out.
