11 o'clock comics community anthology -any interest???-updated-1/22

as many have pointed out we have a wealth of talent around here
most recently Luke and Dave A pointed out we should put together an anthology

So what would people think about that?

People can donate stories and we could either charge next to nothing or find a worthy charity to donate to
(Chris' rehab?)

would the hosts want to coordinate it?
I have no problem putting the files together and that stuff or even starting the kickstarter if thats how we chose to go

so let me know people, lets do this!!!!

some unofficial guidelines:

format will be Standard size-10.25 x 6.5 inches
-new maximum length is 8 pages
-inside pages will be Black and White but graytones are fine
-deadline is April 17th 2011
-no copyrighted material, "spoofs" are okay
-should be portrait format(taller than it is wide) so originals should be 8.5x11 or 9x12 etc
-should be submitted in TIFF format, but I can convert if needed
-pin ups, giant one panel gags etc are just fine, contribute what you can
-please avoid drawing to the borders of the page, as it may get cut
-put your full name somewhere on page, with maybe a small website at bottom
-multiple submissions will be taken if an artist can help another forum member out
-I would assume, already registered forum members only
-hopefully debut will be summit city con 2011 in June!!!

A very cool idea.
I like buying those CBLDF issues with all the cool art and simialr anthologies.

I am not creative, but i would buy it/ donate towards it.

I was trying to put something like this together and it was difficult.  Not that people weren't willing but getting enough people to make it worthwhile and them having the time to actually contribute was the catch.  But good luck.

And I will write something for it when the time comes.

Hmmm i never saw that thread, i guess the name threw me off

but it was started on my bday in 2009!! how wierd is that
i don't think i was even on the forum then. but the cosmos was already aligning

I will definitely contribute to this anyway I can, even if its just contributing to the kickstarter if one gets up. I don't have a creative bone in my body, but I will help out in anyway I can. If the project needs any mechanical or structural drafting done, or its car fixed, I am your man

It's cool you guys tried this before, you can bring the experiance and ideas from that into the pool. I checked out the site, it was looking pretty sweet. All the pages are still up. Was some nice work.

In regards to peoples time contributing stuff to this, I don't see why everything has to be new. Could people throw in some of the old or favorite work from there webcomics etc that has not, or would not see print?

You could def do some cool things. Like even the guy that was posting up the "A-Man-Thing A-Day" blog, a few pages of them sweet man-things would rock.

A few shot stories all pend by the four would be sweet, or even some or one with them as the main characters  

Maybe even if this gets some legs, one of the big name chreators who post here from time to time, or whos books have benefited a bit from the guys gushing about them on the podcast might through in a page or something. A Jim Rugg cover would be sweet. Maybe Ad house would slap there name on it

Anyways, it would be a cool project, even just watching its prgression. Even though the "Exquisite" one didn't get off the ground, reading through the thread it seemed like everyone had a ball doing it. And it definitely produced some cool pages, looking at that site.
