Thanks fam. I'm going to listen to your joint tonight on the way home I think. Also, the Sidebar guys did a great job talking up Dwayne's legacy, as well.

Didn't know Sidebar did an ep on McDuffie. Time to peep that. Thanks for the 411, brother.

Now I gotta turn off my 90's Bad Boy Entertainment playlist and get back to more podcasts.  Yes

Random thoughts about halfway through...

1) There are few things in life that resonate with me as strongly as the sound of passionate and articulate people talking about something that they hold so dear and with such affection/reverence that they are just bursting to share it with others with no other motive than to allow everyone to join in that celebration. Thank you all for continuing to feed that flame.   Hearts

2) I will have to confess that ALIEN LEGION was a title I missed for some reason. I recall seeing the covers and getting an issue or two in some random grab-bag at my LCS in the late '80s, but I doubt I put much effort into really seeing what it was about. Which is odd since STRIKEFORCE: MORITURI was a favorite. I will have to rectify the situation.

3) Seth Fisher's death broke my heart. I was a fan since grabbing HAPPYDALE: DEVILS IN THE DESERT on a whim and then a devotee after WILLWORLD and FLASH: TIME FLIES. Thanks for sharing his talents with others -- more people catching a glimpse at Fisher can only be a good GREAT thing. Yes

From DC's May Solicitations:

$7.99.  That's right.  I don't think it's in the traditional TPB format.  The dimensions are more like the DC Comics Presents books that are coming out.

Well worth it.

good show, boys...

The McDuffie talk had me tearing up. 49. Only 49. too soon. It's definitely a sign of the reach and influence he had even in something as seemingly simple as my kids thinking John Stewart when hearing about Green Lantern (as Jason pointed out on the episode). Take every moment seriously... here today, gone tomorrow.

Now how the hell am I suppose to follow up any posts when Carl "friggin" Potts leaves a message huh???

Thanks for the recognition to not only Dwayne McDuffie, but also the other creators that have passed.

I was going to follow the whole St.Louis accent thing, but after the Wiki post, jeeze what else can I say. Other than "What high school did you go to?" And, it's sink not "zink". Being born and raised in St.Louis, I know we have our own little quirks of speech.

Looking forward to saving the next couple of episodes for the train ride from St.Louis to C2E2!

Carl "friggin" Potts.......awesome.

I'm soooo behind in listening, guys, sorry!

Very neat that you talked Alien Legion.....Chris, it was great to hear about you reading it when you were 14 in 1987 at the end of the cold war.....I, too, first read Alien Legion when I was 14....except it was in 1984, still in the height of the cold war! Cheesy  I loved that book, but more a product of the earlier '80s.

Also way cool to see Mr Potts chime in....loved his editorial and creative work for both Epic and in the regular Marvel Universe, especially on Moon Knight!  How cool are you guys to elicit such a response!?! Thumbs Up

Great conversations in this episode, though you all just sound like you have American accents to me. Now I've got two more books to add to my list as well, though I think I'll pick up the Alien Legion omnibus before I track down the Green Lantern Willworld book.

I just ordered Ay-LEE-un Lee-Jun, so should have that in my hot little hands in a about a fortnight at the latest.
